Can you say TANTRA? Some say it's the dirty Yoga - but my goodness - can we be awesome attractors of the greatness we desire without being orgasmic creatures who experience JOY and FULFILLMENT on a regular basis? Join us as we discuss what it means to place Self as Source in Love Relationships... Self as Source simply means that all experiences we face in our relationships have a root in our own psyche - and do not have to do with anyone else... For example, if Sally is experiencing pain in her relationship - she may blame her husband who is - granted - not paying any attention to her. Self as Source philosophy states that this experience of being denied attention would occur in Sally's relationship no matter who she is with - because her SOURCE or her core is programmed to create this experience. Maybe the program (expectation) began in her childhood...either way she is responsible for it. And so this puts Sally in the driver's seat. Which is a great thing because now Sally can work on something that she can control - Her own inner world!! Rather than trying to FIX him... There is no more blame - no more bickering - no more looking outside to the other to find happiness or to resolve our own inner constructs!! SELF as SOURCE can be fun - if we learn it and love it!! Last night after our conference call I had a one hour session with a client in another time zone. She was telling me how she wants to feel honored, loved, cherished and appreciated in her new relationship. Well - I thought - you better be prepared to GIVE all those goodies unconditionally to your partner if you want to see them come back!! I didn't say that right off the bat as she is recovering from a divorce after 12 years of marriage. However, I will get to that as our sessions heighten... You have to GIVE what you want to RECEIVE!! Often, women get into giving the day to day stuff like cooking, cleaning, being there for the kids, working and we think - "hay - I have given all I have!!". We never think about what would happen if both partners did simply their own "duties" without giving the extra love and affection - how might that relationship look? Our duties call - sure - and we do them - we can use the power of thought to do our duties in a more relaxed and simple way - but if we want the extras - we have to give the extras. When is the last time you complimented a man? When is the last time you told a man how much you cherish him and that he is your hero? WHen is the last time you told a man how much you love him, how strong he is, how well he makes love or how much you honor his advise? When is the last time you told him how wise you think he is? You have to make those type of sincere deposits into the bank of love before you expect to withdraw. In the movies, this is not the case. The fantasy is that men are supposed to chase you wildly and shower you with words of affection. Well, rarely is this the case in reality, the love comes from the center out!! Men may lead the family - but Women are the core (center) of family - and from that center vibrates the "tone" of the unit. From that center leadership finds it's power...When we can come correct and shower on the love - it rains down on us when we need it most!!
